The Clinical Excellence Awards is now open.
These awards recognise and reward NHS consultants and academic GPs who perform ‘over and above’ the standard expected of their role. Awards are given for quality and excellence, acknowledging exceptional personal contributions. To be considered for an award, you will have to demonstrate achievements in developing and delivering high quality patient care, and commitment to the continuous improvement of the NHS.
The Advisory Committee on Clinical Excellence Awards (ACCEA) administers the Scheme directly and all applications must be made on ACCEA’s online system. The ACCEA have published application guidance and the application forms on their website for this year’s round.
The BSH is recognised by the ACCEA as a nominating body and will provide support for new and renewal gold, silver and bronze awards. The BSH will follow a formal procedure as required by the ACCEA, and a panel will consider and score applications according to the scheme detailed on the ACCEA website. When you apply you may wish to draw particular attention to work done on behalf of the BSH.
In order for the panel to rank and score applications and to prepare citations for those it is supporting, the closing date for applications to BSH will be midnight on Wednesday, 28 February. Please send your application to: firstname.lastname@example.org.
