If you are a member of the Society you would have received nomination papers in the mail recently.

We are delighted to invite every member who meets the criteria below to apply to become a Trustee of the BSH. 

This is a very exciting time to be joining the BSH Board to help shape the future and better serve our members. To be eligible to stand, you must have been an Ordinary Member (Full or Trainee), Biomedical Scientist Member, Nurse Member, or Developing World Member for at least two years prior to the date of nomination and must be at least three years short of the normal retirement age at your place of work by 29 March 2017 which is the date of the Trustees’ Meeting to be held during the next Annual Scientific Meeting. For the post of Proleptic Treasurer, you must be four years short of the normal retirement age.

Please enclose your written confirmation that you are willing to stand for election with your nomination form, together with a brief statement of no more than 300 words. You must also provide details of any company directorships you hold. Please send your nomination form to:

The closing date for receipt of nomination forms is 5pm on Wednesday 4 January 2017.

It is the responsibility of each nominee to ensure that the BSH office receives your completed form by that date and time.
