The UK Clinical Research Collaboration Tissue Directory and Coordination Centre (UKCRC TDCC) wants to help researchers use human samples in their research. In order to do this they have launched some research.
UK-based Biomedical researchers are invited to complete an online survey called ‘Human samples in UK biomedical research’.The aim of this study is to better understand how and when UK-based biomedical researchers use human samples in their research. It also aims to capture any barriers to human sample access and use, including how these can be overcome. The results of the survey will help identify key groups of researchers that use human tissue in their work.
The UKCRC TDCC may then invite willing participants to participate in a focus group. The aim of the groups will be to get further feedback on the survey results by dissecting motivations and what would lead to changes in behaviour. Participants will also be asked to test drive the UKCRC Tissue Directory and provide direct feedback on what does, and doesn’t, work.
The survey will take approx. 7min to complete and you will have the option to be entered into a prize drawer for a voucher at the end of the survey.
The closing date for survey submissions is the 18th March.
