The following changes were proposed by the Society’s Board of Trustees and approved unanimously by the Members at the April 2018 General Meeting, and will take effect from 1 January 2019.
To simplify the membership categories and encourage a more inclusive and multi-professional membership base, the Society's categories will be consolidated from eight to three, and full membership benefits will become available to all paying members.
The vast majority of members will be unaffected by these changes, and some members may become eligible for a reduced rate subscription.
A minority of members may be required to transition to a different category. We will shortly be contacting all members directly about whether the changes will affect you whether any action is required to gain access to new benefits.
All members currently on the Biomedical Scientist, Nurse and Pharmacist memberships can elect to transition to the appropriate new category or remain on a £30 legacy category.
This legacy category will be available for a few years as part of an extended transition period.
