A Primer for Medical Students and Junior Doctors

Overview

This is an education day aimed at senior medical students preparing for the Final MBChB examination as well as doctors in their Foundation Years of practice.

 

Learning Objectives

  • Interpretation and further investigation of abnormalities of the full blood count
  • Interpretation and further investigation of abnormalities of the coagulation screen
  • Management of common haematological complications
  • An understanding of the haematological malignancies and their initial management
