The BSH Education Committee has organised an Induction Day for ST3s in haematology in order to help aid the transition to speciality trainee. This year it will take place on Friday, 12th July at Imperial College London. This highly popular event is aimed at newly-appointed trainees expecting to commence their haematology specialist training in August 2019 and has taken place every July for the past five years. It is primarily attended by those at CT2/ST2 level although those starting trust grade or locum jobs are also welcome to apply.
The programme is packed with training highlights and essential knowledge exchange, including a hands-on morphology practical (one microscope per person or between two), case-based group discussions on transfusion and coagulation problems, and lectures offering advice and essential survival skills for new trainees.
Previous attendees have found the day incredibly useful and enjoyed meeting with new and current trainees.
The registration fee is £20 for BSH members and £40 for non-members and includes lunch and refreshments. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
We hope to see you there!
