This 5-day intensive course is geared towards Part 2 candidates. However it may be useful for people doing Part 1 as well. The course will focus on Blood Coagulation mechanisms, Thrombophilia testing, data handling, monitoring new anticoagulants, molecular biology techniques, platelets and d-dimer testing.
The speakers are Consultant Haematologists and Clinical Scientists with wide experience of blood coagulation and a long-standing commitment to leading learning in this field. The course includes information from lectures, powerpoints and discussions but also includes practical tasks.
All refreshments and resources/lecture notes are included in the fee. On the last day of the course an examination in the style of the College followed by a discussion of the style of questions and suggested answers is included.
