The meeting will be run as a virtual event, consisting of pre-recorded presentations which will be available on the BSH website from 1 June 2021 and a live webinar on 16 June 2021. It aims to provide an overview and update of the latest developments in the field of obstetric haematology. Specific learning objectives are:

  • To provide a basic overview of haemostasis, thrombosis and thromboprophyalxis for obstetricians
  •  To review of the scope of the problem of Covid-19 during pregnancy and the management of thromboprophylaxis
  • To discuss the latest data on ITP in pregnancy and the impact of COVID-19
  • To review cases of pulmonary hypertension in pregnancy and the associated literature

The meeting is suitable for consultants, trainees, foundation doctors, nurses and students with an interest in obstetric haematology.
