Sickle cell continues to affect at least 15,000 in the UK. Not only do these people go through unbearable pain, the condition affects every aspect of their day-to-day activities. Due to the wide lack of basic awareness, more babies are born with Sickle Cell and sufferers continue to find it extremely hard to access basic support which is much needed.
On the day we will have:
Different haematology experts
Benefit and welfare advice for sickle cell suffers
Personal accounts form suffers and carers
A blood donation drive
