The Education Committee develops and delivers events and resources for the BSH.
Which include:

  • seminars and training days for medical students, trainees and consultants, such as:
         - Basic Haematology Day
         - Core Medical Training Day
  • the development of educational resources for the BSH website
  • the annual essay prize for undergraduate medical students

BSH EDUCATION COMMITTEE VACANCIES

BSH is looking to appoint three volunteers to join our Education Committee.

The Education Committee develops and delivers events and resources for the BSH, which include seminars and training days for medical students, trainees and consultants and the development of educational resources for the BSH website.

Committee members are appointed for an initial three-year term, which is renewable for a further three years. The Education Committee meets six times a year with three face-to-face meetings at the BSH office in London in March, July and November and three one-hour teleconference meetings in January, May and September. Members are expected to actively engage in the work of the Committee and a minimum attendance of 50% of the meetings with attendance of at least one of the three face-to-face meetings is required. BSH will reimburse expenses incurred for attendance of these meetings.

BSH membership is required to joint the Education Committee. However, we encourage applications from a range of members, including trainees and consultants at any stage of their training or career, clinical scientists, physician associates and nurses, to reflect the diverse area of haematology.

BSH EDUCATION COMMITTEE VACANCY – MEDICAL STUDENT REPRESENTATIVE

BSH is looking to appoint a Medical Student Representative to join our Education Committee.

The Education Committee develops and delivers events and resources for the BSH, which include seminars and training days for medical students, trainees and consultants and the development of educational resources for the BSH website.

Medical Student Representatives are appointed for a period of two years. The Education Committee meets six times a year with three face-to-face meetings at the BSH office in London in March, July and November and three one-hour teleconference meetings in January, May and September. Members are expected to actively engage in the work of the Committee and a minimum attendance of 50% of the meetings with attendance of at least one of the three face-to-face meetings is required. BSH will reimburse expenses incurred for attendance of these meetings.

Applications from those within the final two years of study will not be accepted.
