BSH is very sad to have been informed about the recent death of BSH Trustee, Professor Amit Patel, Consultant Haematologist. Amit, who joined the Board in April 2020, was a BSH member for nearly 14 years. He trained in London before working as a consultant in Liverpool and then in Manchester. His clinical work and research interests were focused on Cellular Therapies and Stell Cell Transplantation and in particular on the Acute Leukaemias. In addition to his regular duties as a Trustee, Amit served as Trustee Liaison with our Guidelines Committee and our TYA and Lymphoma SIGs.
