These guidelines provide guidance on the diagnosis and investigation of patients with AL amyloidosis. This guideline highlights the clinical features that should raise suspicion of the diagnosis and the diagnostic investigations for amyloid including laboratory tests and investigations for plasma cell dyscrasia.
The guideline also outlines the investigations and evaluation of organ involvement, prognostic factors and staging systems.
